Eagan Funfest Ambassador Reflects on Benefits of Participation in Youth Ambassador Program

Hi, my name is Autumn Manni and I am one the 2016-17 Eagan Funfest Ambassadors. This ambassador year we have kept very busy and it has gone by super fast! Throughout this year we have met so many people. Now talking to people I've never met before has become a lot easier. My confidence in being able to walk up to someone and start a conversation has increased dramatically. Being an Eagan Ambassador has meant so much to me and I have made friends that will last a lifetime. I have also gotten much more involved in my community and the events that Eagan has. The most recent event the other ambassadors and I did was Eagan TV filming us while we talked about what being an ambassador is like so other girls and boys will want to do it too. That was fun because it made us remember what being a candidate was like and the things we did earlier off in the year. I have loved being an Eagan Funfest Ambassador and now the time of year has come to start the candidate process! I'm so excited to get to meet all the new ambassador candidates and to eventually pass along my crown. I have made so many memories this year that I will remember forever. Being an Eagan Ambassador is all around awesome and I would have definitely regretted it if I had not done it.
