Eagan Police Evacuate Three Homes Following Gas Leak on Chipmunk Court
Crews were able to isolate and repair the leak by just after 1 p.m. on Wednesday, March 6, according to police. No one was injured.

Three homes were evacuated on the 1900 block of Chipmunk Court on Wednesday morning after the Eagan Police and Fire Departments were notified of a gas leak in the area.
Minnesota Energy representatives contacted emergency responders at 11:11 a.m. on Wednesday, March 6, to report the leak, according to a news release issued by the Eagan Police Department. Technicians were called to the area when a resident reported the strong smell of natural gas in her home.
Police and fire units closed a nearby road, evacuated the homes and notified 20 other residences in the area via an automated telephone messaging system.

Technicians were able to isolate the leak by just after 1 p.m., according to the report. At that point, roads were reopened and residents allowed back into their homes. No injuries were reported, and the cause of the leak is unknown at this time, according to police.
