EHS Students' Flu Prevention Video a Finalist in Statewide Contest

Show your support for the students of Mr. Saxton's class at Eagan High School by voting for their tongue-in-cheek public service announcement.

Few people picture the flu as an unruly teenager deflecting basketball shots, interrupting a school quiz and flipping cafeteria trays.

But that's what Mr. Saxton's class at Eagan High School came up with when the students were asked to make a public service announcement about flu prevention tips. In the students' video, roughly 90 seconds long, the flu personified creates havoc at the high school as it jumps from victim to victim.

The tongue-in-cheek video was chosen as one of three finalists in the fourth annual Kohl's Cares Children's Hospitals and Clinics of Minnesota Flu Prevention PSA Video contest. The goal of the contest is to raise health awareness and spread flu prevention tips.

The students have a chance to win a portion of $5,500 in prize money if the video is chosen. Winners will be announced on the Children’s Hospitals and Clinics of Minnesota Facebook page on April 1.
