Friday Night Live Costume Party

Goblins, movie stars and freaky monsters are all invited to the “Friday Night Live Costume Party” on October 26 to bring out the best of Halloween costumes and fun for teens grade 6-8 at the Rosemount Community Center from 7 to 9:30 p.m. Entertainment and dancing will be provided by a live DJ with prizes for best costume, open gym games, and socializing activities. The event is $2 or free with a donation of two canned goods.

Hoping to repeat the success of the first Teen Night in March when 200 Rosemount youth enjoyed games, dancing, dodge ball, board games and a basketball tournament, the YMCA in Eagan is again partnering with Rosemount Parks and Recreation, Lighthouse Christian Church, Community of Hope, and the First State Bank of Rosemount to sponsor an active, safe Halloween party.

Teen Night was created when the Y realized that its teen events were attracting fewer teens and approached the Rosemount Park and Recreation Department where the same problem existed. By joining forces with the faith community, they have created a multi-activity event formula that is high energy and fun-filled, with appropriate activities for local teens.
