Here's How Many Dakota County Residents Have Been Vaccinated
In Minnesota overall, 783,214 people have received at least one dose of the coronavirus vaccine.
DAKOTA COUNTY, MN— A total of 48,478 residents— or 11.5 percent of the county— have received at least their first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, according to the latest numbers from the Minnesota Department of Health.
Of those, 22,452 residents — or 5.3 percent of the county — have received both doses.
In Minnesota overall, 783,214 people have received at least one dose. About 386,256 people, or 6.8 percent of the state, have received both doses.

In all, over 1.2 million vaccines have been shipped to Minnesota providers, and 242,700 vaccines have been shipped to long-term care facilities for the CDC long-term care vaccination program.Those who are currently eligible to be vaccinated include:
- Healthcare workers
- Those who work at or live in long-term care facilities
- People age 65 and older
- Educators, school staff, and childcare workers
Tim Walz announced that the next phase of the vaccine roll-out will occur once 70 percent of seniors have received at least one dose of the vaccine. The next phase of the roll-out will likely include those with preexisting conditions, and essential workers.
