Here's Where You Can Hunt For Easter Eggs In Eagan

Find out where your children can hunt for Easter eggs this weekend.

EAGAN, MN— Over a year into the pandemic, restaurants and businesses are beginning to open back up to 75 percent capacity.

There don't seem to be any restrictions on outdoor activities which is perfect for Easter egg hunting.

Eggs are a symbol of rebirth and fertility, which is a common explanation for why they are associated with the resurrection of Jesus. Another possible explanation is that Christians weren't allowed to consume animal products during Lent, so they boiled eggs to eat on Easter, TIME said.

Here's where you can hunt for Easter eggs near Eagan:

  • The Rosemount Lions Club is hosting an egg hunt April 3 at Ames Soccer Complex. Children will be divided into three age groups. Those with last names beginning with A-L will begin their egg hunt at 9:30 a.m., while M-Z will begin at 11 a.m.
  • Ebenezer Ridges Campus in Burnsville is hosting a drive-thru Easter parade, with five stops for children to pick up eggs, look at farm animals, and even meeting the Easter Bunny. This event is April 3 at 11:30 a.m.

The White House hosts an annual Easter egg roll, a tradition that began in 1876, but this event has been cancelled for 2020-21 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
