Commons on Marice Seniors touch the heart of Eagan Funfest Ambassador
Hey everyone!
I would like to share about an event that has been very meaningful to me over the last couple of weeks. Last week the Ambassadors and I volunteered at the Commons on Marice Senior Snowball Prom night. Avery and I served the senior citizens cream puffs and Russian tea cakes with punch while Hannah, Mia and Peyton all danced to the music the band was playing and danced with a couple elderly people. When all the punch and cookies were served, Avery and I made our way around the room visiting and talking with many of the seniors who were there.
This particular event was meaningful to me because visiting with the seniors make them smile and feel special and it made me truly realize how one person doing a simple act can make someone else’s whole night. Another reason it was so special for me was because I’m a senior at Eagan high school and my friends Sam Zenner and Bianca Nkwonta who are the Homecoming king and Queen in my grade were there that night to crown the Snowball king and queen. It was an amazing night an awesome experience!
