ISD 191 Projects $10M Deficit For Next Fiscal Year: Report

BURNSVILLE, MN— ISD 191 projected a $10.86 million budget deficitfor the next fiscal year, Southwest Media News reported.

The district's board of education approved lay-offs for 25 probationary employees and six tenured employees at their meeting April 8, the publication reported.

Despite laying off employees, district officials said class sizes won't increase, the publication reported.

The board will vote to adopt next year's budget at its June 17 meeting, the publication reported.
