New: Apply Online for Free or Reduced Lunch Program in District 196
The district is offering an online application for those who qualify for their children to receive free or reduced-price school breakfasts and lunches during the year.

Applications are available in School District 196 to apply for kids to receive free or reduced-price lunches during the 2012-13 school year. Free and reduced-price lunches are available to those families that meet federal income guidelines.
New this year is the option to apply online; the online application is accessible here.

Paper applications also are available. Call the district's Food & Nutrition Services at 651-683-6958 to have a paper application mailed to you. The income guidelines for the free and reduced-lunch program are available here.

- (grades Pre-K through 5): $1.40 for breakfast, $2.20 for lunch
- Middle school (grades 6-8): $1.45 for breakfast, $2.25 for lunch
- High school (grades 9-12): $1.45 for breakfast, $2.35 for lunch
