Eagan Start-up to Offer Scholarships to Underserved
Dollar Per Christian to Offer Tuition Scholarships for Christian-based Education
EAGAN, MN—Citing increased demand amid rising costs of K-12 education in Minnesota’s private schools, Eagan-based Dollar Per Christian offers financial assistance to families in need that are currently experiencing difficulty funding their child’s Christian K-12 education.
“More and more, families are being priced out of the opportunity for Christian K-12 opportunities for their children,” said Brian Nepstad, founder of Dollar Per Christian. “We strongly believe that all families seeking a Christian education should have the opportunity to attend a Christian school regardless of a parent’s ability to earn or pay for that education.”
Dollar Per Christian (DPC) is non-profit entity organized as a 501(c)3 meaning any contributions from an individual or corporation are tax-deductible. It’s unique and simple fundraising platform makes it easy for anyone to give, asking for just one dollar per month per Christian in your household. While still a start-up, DPC’s founder Nepstad assures donors that each and every dollar donated will have an impact on our organization’s mission and benefit those families in need.
DPC will not offer full funding to those seeking assistance with costs for Christian-based education. Rather, it will serve as a financial bridge to families working as a partner to fund a $2000 award per student per year toward a child’s Christian education.
“We aren’t so naïve as to think we can provide free Christian education for families that desire it,” continued Nepstad. “Even with additional private funds already available from numerous sources, there is still a huge funding gap for families that desire Christian education for their kids. DPC is striving to solve this problem by becoming another supplemental source for students, families and Christian schools here in Minnesota.”
