The Rotary Club of Eagan Recognizes Outstanding Teachers
The Rotary Club of Eagan honored fourteen Eagan teachers at their annual Teacher Recognition Luncheon on
May 9th at the Lost Spur Golf and Event Center.
What started as a grassroots celebration twenty-eight years ago to honor outstanding local teachers has become an annual tradition for the Eagan Rotary. The event recognizes the men and women of Eagan Schools who represent excellence in the teaching profession. Full-time elementary, middle, high school, career and technology, special education teachers, counselors, or media specialists were eligible for nomination. School principals nominated the teacher who made a difference in their student’s lives.
“Eagan is blessed with exceptional teachers, principals and educational leaders. For that reason, each year the Rotary Club of Eagan celebrates our local educators by hosting this special recognition event,” said Jodi Hassing, President of the Rotary Club of Eagan. “We want our teachers to know how much we appreciate everything they do for the students, families and community of Eagan.”
The honored teachers received donations toward the purchase of classroom and teaching supplies. Additional awards were provided by Innovative Office Solutions and IMAX Theatre at the Minnesota Zoo.
The list of 2018 Honored Teachers and their schools are:
- Paul Hellquist, Black Hawk Middle School
