Head-On Crash In Eagan Kills 2

Both drivers of the vehicles were found unresponsive and later pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

EAGAN, MN — Eagan police are investigating a double fatal crash at Johnny Cake Ridge Road and Sherwood Way Monday morning. The crash killed the drivers, but did not involve any passengers, police said.

On Monday just after 5:30 a.m., Eagan officers responded to the two-car collision on Johnny Cake Ridge Road just south of Sherwood Way. Both drivers of the vehicles were found unresponsive and later pronounced dead at the scene.

There were no other occupants in the vehicles. Police say it appears to be a head-on collision in the northbound lane of Johnny Cake Ridge Road involving two SUV type vehicles.

The Minnesota State Patrol will be assisting in the investigation, according to a news release. Johnny Cake Ridge Road will remain closed while officer work in the area.

The two drivers in the crash have been identified as 33-year-old Cory H. Hoesley, of Hudson, Wisconsin, and 66-year-old Pamela Ann Schmidt from Apple Valley.
