Sure Sign of Summer: Cascade Bay Opening on June 1

The water park will be open the weekend of June 1 and 2, before opening on June 7 for the start of the official 2013 season.

Winter may have only recently relinquished its grasp on the Twin Cities area, but one sure sign of summer is right around the corner.

Cascade Bay, the city's municipal water park, will open on June 1 and 2 for a weekend-long preview before the start of the official 2013 season on June 7. The park's regular season runs until Aug. 25, and daily rates are $10 for a guest over 42 inches and $8 for guests under 42 inches or seniors 62 years old or older. Infants receive free admission, and reduced rates are available after 4 p.m.
