Editor's Note: The following is a press release from Caponi Art Park.

Wear your costumes and celebrate Halloween at Caponi Art Park on Saturday, October 27 from 1-4 p.m. The public is invited to take a short trick-or-treat tour of some of the Art Park's spooky sculptures with a costumed guide, play in a giant pile of leaves, and make a Halloween craft.

Sculpture tours will tell the story of the Art Park and wind past several creepy works of art, including skeletons, snakes, and other sculptures by Anthony Caponi. Each stop along the tour will include a story about the sculpture and a piece of candy related to the artwork. The educational tours will be led by trained guides and are designed for children five-years-old and up; children must be accompanied by an adult. Children will be encouraged to ask questions and touch the sculptures. The fifteen-minute tours will depart from the star-shaped sculpture entitled “A Walk in Outer Space” every twenty minutes from 1-3:30 p.m. There is a 15 child maximum for each tour. Due to space limitations, organized groups are invited to schedule a tour separate from the Halloween event.

Children can also decorate pumpkins and trick-or-treat bags in the sculpture garden. Hot apple cider and popcorn will be available near the studio. People of all ages are welcome to jump in the giant leaf pile and explore the sculpture garden during the Art Park’s last open weekend of the season. A superhero themed scavenger hunt hosted by local family empowerment group MaxaMom will also take place in the woods. More information on all of these activities is available at http://www.caponiartpark.org/programs/halloween/.

This event is free, with a $5 per person suggested donation. Parking will be available at Caponi Art Park’s main lot at 1220 Diffley Road in Eagan. In the event of poor weather, Halloween at the Art Park will be canceled. Weather-related announcements will be made on Caponi Art Park’s website (www.caponiartpark.org), Facebook page, and Twitter feed.
