Time flies when you are doing good stuff!

Girl Scout shares some recent Eagan Funfest Ambassador activities

Hello Eagan, Funfest Ambassador Payton Greenlee here. It’s amazing how quickly time flies when you are having fun! We are already at the half way point in the 2014-2015 Ambassador Program. I have been meeting a lot of amazing people and having tons of fun. I would love to tell you about everything but there’s just not enough time so I will tell you about a few of my most recent events.
Reece, Mia, Hanna, Avery and I attended the St. Paul Winter Carnival Jr. Royalty Coronation and watched as past Eagan Funfest Ambassador and the 2014 Queen of the Snow, Meghan Harwell, said good bye and helped welcome the new 2015 Royalty. It was so fun! During the coronation the announcer asked the audience a question and I answered him and he said he loved me. I really felt special. It was fun to experience the coronation. I plan to try out as a candidate in the future. Wish me luck.
Our latest fundraiser for the Ambassador Program was at Buffalo Wild Wings. We had a lot of fun with the staff and greeting the customers. It’s always nice to see people you know and exciting to answer all the questions from people interested in what we do as Ambassadors. I had to laugh because one of the waitresses looked a lot like me so we were saying I was her mini-me. She was really nice and made the evening lots of fun.
I have been out and about in the community promoting the 2015-16 Eagan Funfest Program and its upcoming Candidacy run at the end of May. I was fortunate enough to present at the Eagan Girl Scout Service Unit Leader’s Meeting at the beginning of the month with Hanna. This was very special to me because I have been a Girl Scout for seven years now and think that the Girl Scouts are perfect for the Ambassador Program. As a Girl Scout and as an Ambassador I have the pleasure of getting out and about in the community, volunteering for good causes, and being a positive role model for other youth. I went out and put up posters at my sponsor’s, Treasures Galore The Indoor Garage Sale Store, and other businesses in the area to help promote the Ambassador Program. I would like to say “Thank You” to Nick at Aqua Tots for the wonderful compliments. He said I was very good at speaking in public and loved the fact that I made eye contact with him when I spoke. These are important to me and I take great pride in all I do. Nick also offered me a job when I get old enough. How fun would it be to be a youth swim coach. For those teenagers looking for a fun job Aqua Tots is now hiring and willing to train.
Like I said earlier I would love to tell you about everything but there’s just not enough time. If you see me out and about say hi and if you have any questions about running for the 2015-16 Eagan Funfest Ambassadors ask questions, Id love to answer them. Thanks for reading my blog.

Till Next Time-
Payton Greenlee
Eagan Funfest Ambassador 2014-2015
