Treasures Galore gets a special visit to be thanked

Payton visits her sponsor

Hello Everyone,
Allow me to introduce my sponsor, Treasures Galore The Indoor Garage Sale Store. Treasures Galore is a non-profit thrift store that benefits the community through the support of our students and teachers in Eagan, Apple Valley, and Rosemount, and their needs throughout the year. They are a donation center accepting donations of new and gently used children’s and adult clothing, shoes and accessories, toys, books, games, crafts, electronics, CD/DVD’s, records, video games, knick-knacks, holiday items, households, furniture, sporting goods, tools, collectibles and much more. If it can be used again they will take it. Treasures Galore not only offers a great price on new and gently used items and a 50 % OFF Storewide Sales the last week of every month but also offers opportunities for the community to donate to a good cause, our current and future leaders.
To help support Treasures Galore you can do one of three things...
1) Donate! Donate your new or gently used item. Treasures Galore accepts donations during business hours, Tuesday- Friday 10am-6pm, Saturday 10am-4pm and Sunday 12-4, closed Mondays, or call for an appointment for a pick up.
2) Volunteer! Treasures Galore accepts volunteers during business hours as well. They are happy to have you for an hour, two, or more. Just call to set up a schedule. Volunteer positions include hanging clothes, straightening up the store, dusting, vacuuming, picking up donations, and many other fun and easy jobs. These are all family friendly volunteer positions. All ages welcome!
3) Spread the word! Word of mouth is the most powerful marketing tool out there. Treasures Galore being a non-profit has limited themselves to free marketing to keep the proceeds where they belong, with our teachers and students.
Some of the Community Service Projects that Treasures Galore has had the privilege of participating in include; a donation of 36 Hand Sanitizers and 36 boxes of Tissues for the 30+ classrooms at Oak Ridge Elementary in Eagan, donation of 100 brand new items for Dakota Ridge, in Apple Valley, FREE store they offer to their students during the holidays so they can get gifts for their family members, worked with Eastview’s AVID Program to help collect gently used Prom dresses and cocktail dresses for the second annual Prom Expo last March, collecting 65 dresses, shoes and accessories, donated over 100 children’s books for a Girl Scout Silver Award Project working on literacy and 27 T-Shirts for a second Girl Scout Silver Award Project making Eco-Friendly T-shirt Packs, and have donated clothing, shoes, and hygiene products for students in both the Eagan and Rosemount Shelters for the 2014-2015 school year. Currently Treasures Galore is working on putting together backpacks with hygiene products and a towel for the Eagan, Eastview, Apple Valley, and Rosemount High School students in need, along with continuing to work with the Social Workers at all District 196 Schools to assist where they can. If you know of a need in your school please send them to Treasures Galore. They are always looking for the next community service project and are eager to help.
Treasures Galore will be celebrating their 1 Year Anniversary November 11-16 with an additional 50% OFF Storewide Sale. Be sure to stop in for your next treasure.
Thank you Treasures Galore for sponsoring me and for helping us make our community a better place. Your hard work and dedication does not go unnoticed!
Payton Greenlee
Eagan Funfest Ambassador 2014-2015
