Uponor Earns Third Governor’s Safety Award

The award recognizes Uponor's Lakeville distribution center for workplace safety.

APPLE VALLEY, MN— Apple Valley-based company Uponor has earned its third Governor’s Safety Award, the company said.

The award, presented by the Minnesota Safety Council, recognizes Uponor's Lakeville distribution center for workplace safety, the company said.

The Governor's Safety Award program gives out three different awards-Uponor won the Outstanding Achievement Award, the company said.

The Outstanding Achievement Award recognizes companies with a safety program evaluation score between 75 and 90 points, as well as incident rates 51 to 90 percent better than the industry average, the company said.

“We are honored to be a three-time recipient of the Governor’s Safety Award,” Bill Gray, president of Uponor North America, said. “The award is even more significant this year due to the added challenges from the pandemic. I am very proud of how the Uponor team continues to stay focused and work diligently to keep health and safety a top priority.”
