Vikings Practice Stadium Will Host A 2nd Mass Vaccination Event

Governor Walz announced the continued partnership in a news release Friday.

EAGAN, MN— Governor Tim Walz announced Friday in a news release that Minnesota will continue its partnership with the Minnesota Vikings as part of the COVID-19 Community Vaccination Program.

There will be another temporary community vaccination event this week at the Twin Cities Orthopedics (TCO) Performance Center in Eagan, Walz said.

The state and the Minnesota Vikings partnered in early March for the first event.

“This continued partnership with the Minnesota Vikings helps us move the ball further down the field in the fight to end the COVID-19 pandemic,” Walz said. “Our Community Vaccination Program is a critical component of Minnesota’s all-hands-on-deck vaccination strategy, and this additional opportunity at the Vikings training facility will help this life-saving vaccine reach even more Minnesotans.”

This announcement came after Walz announced last week that all Minnesotans ages 16+ will become eligible for the vaccine starting March 30.
