Visiting NHL Teams Will Stay At Eagan Hotel For Rest Of Season

This decision came because the Omni Viking Lakes Hotel could better ensure that the players stay in a COVID-19 free bubble.

EAGAN, MN— Visiting NHL teams will now stay at the Omni Viking Lakes Hotel in Eagan instead of the Saint Paul Hotel, The Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal reported.

The decision was made partly because of the pandemic and the shortened NHL, Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal reported.

Richard Dobransky, president of Morrissey Hospitality which manages Saint Paul Hotel, told the publication that the Omni could "more easily accommodate" the players' need to stay in a COVID-free bubble, due to the Omni's isolated elevator, and pathways to ensure the players don't have contact with other guests.
