MINNESOTA — Millions of drivers are expected to hit the roads this Labor Day Weekend across Minnesota and the rest of the United States. The number of drivers on the road from Friday, Aug. 30 through Tuesday, Sept. 3 is expected to be a bit higher this year than last year, according to multiple agencies.
When is the worst time to travel? The answer is 2 p.m. on Friday (any pretty much anytime after that).

Meanwhile, gas prices are dropping just in time for Labor Day. Prices have dropped about 31 cents from the high point this year in April, according to statistics released by AAA.

The weather for Minnesota looks good. There is a slight chance of Saturday, but temperatures will be mild with clear skies for most of the holiday weekend, according to the National Weather Service.

- This Afternoon: Sunny, with a high near 73. Calm wind.
- Tonight: Increasing clouds, with a low around 59. Calm wind.
- Saturday: A 20 percent chance of showers. Cloudy, with a high near 72. Calm wind.
- Saturday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 57. Calm wind.
- Sunday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 75. Calm wind.
- Sunday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 62. Calm wind.
- Labor Day: Partly sunny, with a high near 81. Calm wind becoming south around 5 mph in the afternoon.
