Both Drivers Killed In East Metro Head-On Crash

SCANDIA, MN — The two drivers involved in a head-on crash in the east Twin Cities metro have died. On Thursday just after 7:30 p.m., Washington County Sheriff's deputies responded to a head-on collision on Olinda Trail North in Scandia.

Both drivers were unresponsive. Deputies and first responders attempted life-saving measures, but "due to the extent of the injuries," both drivers were pronounced dead at the scene.

The Washington County Sheriff's Office and the Minnesota State Patrol are investigating the crash.
