I-694 Closure In Oakdale Rescheduled

OAKDALE, MN — Eastbound Interstate 694 will not close July 9 through July 12, as it was originally planned. The closure has been rescheduled for July 16 through July 19, the Minnesota Department of Transportation announced.

Eastbound I-694 from Highway 61 in Maplewood to 10th Street in Oakdale will shut down for concrete repairs starting at 10 p.m. on July 16.

All eastbound I-694 lanes and ramps are scheduled to reopen by 5 a.m. on July 19, according to transit officials. Drivers are asked to follow the detours and to plan for additional travel time.

"To accelerate the road work and lessen traffic impacts, crews are scheduled to work 24-hour shifts during the closure," transit officials said.
