The company that owns Cowboy Jack's now owns the former Brine's Restaurant and Bar.

STILLWATER, MN — The Minneapolis company that owns Cowboy Jack’s, Cowboy Slim's, Sally's Saloon, Cabooze, and The Joint Bar now owns the former Brine’s Restaurant and Bar. After Midnight Group paid more than $1 million to buy the building in Downtown Stillwater.

The restaurant's new name has yet to be decided. However, After Midnight co-owner Anne Loff told the Minneapolis-St. Paul Business Journal it won’t be a Cowboy Jack’s.

“We believe in downtown Stillwater and see it growing quite a bit right now," Loff told the newspaper.

"The powers that be in the city, following the bridge closure, have done a wonderful job of encouraging locals to come back down. Couple that with the beautiful bike trails they’re going to have and I just believe that downtown Stillwater will continue to go through a growth spurt."

Brine’s closed earlier this year after 60 years because the family no longer wanted to run it, reports the Pioneer Press.
