Coronavirus: How Full Are Stillwater-Area Hospitals?

STILLWATER, MN — Hospitals in the Stillwater area are almost at capacity due to the ongoing surge in coronavirus cases in Minnesota and around the country. State health officials warn that once all hospital beds are occupied, patients may be turned away.

Residents can now look up exactly how full their local hospital is. Based on research and data compiled by the University of Minnesota, National Public Radio created a "look-up" tool.

Users can also lookup county and statewide hospitalization rates, in addition to info on their local hospital:

• In Dakota County, hospitals are 66 percent full
• In Ramsey County, hospitals are 94 percent full
• In Hennepin County, hospitals are 92 percent full
• In Washington County, hospitals are 85 percent full

Below are local hospital capacity rates and their number of daily COVID-19 patients based on a seven-day average:

Healtheast St. John's Hospital (Maplewood) — 97 percent full, treating an average of 62 COVID-19 patients

Regions Hospital (Saint Paul) — 97 percent full, treating an average of 93 COVID-19 patients

St. Joseph's Hospital (Saint Paul) — 94 percent full, treating an average of 89 COVID-19 patients

United Hospital (Saint Paul) — 89 percent full, treating an average of 77 COVID-19 patients

Fairview Ridges Hospital (Burnsville) — 96 percent full, treating an average of 68 COVID-19 patients

Regina Hospital (Hastings) — 77 percent full, treating an average of 5 COVID-19 patients

Northfield Hospital — 27 percent full, treating an average of 5 COVID-19 patients

Healtheast Woodwinds (Woodbury) — 95 percent full, treating an average of 23 COVID-19 patients

Lakeview Memorial Hospital (Stillwater) — 75 percent full, treating an average of 16 COVID-19 patients
