COVID-19 Vaccination Effort In Washington Co.: Updated Stats
As Minnesota nears completion of the first round of vaccinations, state leaders are urging the federal government to provide more vaccine.

WASHINGTON COUNTY, MN — According to the latest update from the state's Department of Health, more than 153,000 Minnesota residents — or 2.8 percent — have had at least one COVID-19 vaccine dose. Just over 15,000 — or .3 percent of Minnesotans — have received both doses necessary to achieve immunity to the virus.
A total of 6,785 residents of Washington County — or 2.7 percent — have received at least one dose of the vaccine.
Of that number, 698 Washington County residents — or .3 percent — have completed their vaccine series.

MN Begins Offering COVID Vax To 'Broader Categories' Of Residents
The Minnesota Department of Health Thursday announced that hospitals, health care systems, and other vaccination partners should start vaccinating "broader categories of Minnesotans," including all residents of the state who are 65 and older.
