DeMontreville Trail in Lake Elmo Closes Tuesday Through July 9

DeMontreville Trail North at Highway 36 in Lake Elmo will close today (July 2) as crews complete reduced conflict intersection (J-turn) construction. 

The Minnesota Department of Transportation is advising motorists to follow the posted detour using Highland Trail. The work is expected to be complete by 6 a.m. Wednesday, July 10, weather permitting. 

When completed in fall 2013, MnDOT says "the $13.8 million reconstruction project will improve safety and traffic flow on Highway 36, Hilton Trail, Highlands Trail and Demontreville Trail while reducing the amount of through traffic cutting through residential areas."
