Gun Goes Missing Near Elementary School In Washington County
The Washington County Sheriff's Office said it conducted an extensive search that included the use of a K9 officer.
WASHINGTON COUNTY, MN — Authorities say a gun went missing Monday in Hugo near Oneka Elementary. The owner of the firearm set the gun on the roof of his car while loading his belongings. He then left, forgetting that he had put his gun on the roof until he was in the area of Highway 35 and Highway 96.
The Washington County Sheriff's Office said it conducted an extensive search that included the use of a K9 officer
"We were unable to locate the firearm and wanted to alert the public in the immediate area in case the firearm should show up," authorities said in a statement.
