Lane, Ramp Closures On Interstate 694 In East Metro This Weekend

ROSEVILLE, Minn. — Motorists will encounter lane and ramp closures on southbound Interstate 694 in Oakdale this weekend, weather permitting. Beginning at 7 p.m., Friday, Sept. 27, southbound I-694 will be reduced to a single lane of traffic between 10th Street and the I-94/494/694 Interchange as crews shift traffic to the left lane of southbound I-694 and pave the right lane.

There will also be a short period overnight where access from southbound I-694 to the eastbound and westbound I-94 ramps close. All lanes and access closures will reopen by 5 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 28, according to a news release.

In addition, beginning at 7 p.m., Friday, Sept. 27, the 10th Street ramp to southbound I-694 will close. The ramp is anticipated to reopen in mid-November.

Motorists should follow the posted detour of 10th Street, Inwood Avenue to 34th Street to Stillwater Boulevard.

Motorists are urged to plan ahead and allow more time to reach your destination.
