Little Free Library Opens at Rutherford Elementary
A Little Free Library opened last week at Rutherford Elementary School in Stillwater.
Stillwater's newest Little Free Library opened at Rutherford Elementary School.
Stacy Maddux, and her fourth-grade class at Rutherford, “opened” the library for business last week and stocked it with free books for adults and children.
The Little Free Library is open to the public 24/7, rain or shine. Rutherford's Little Free Library was built as a collaborative effort by the class and painted by Art Specialist, Lea Brynestead.

The Little Free Library is a place community members can exchange books they’ve already read for ones that they have not. Maddux’s class invites the community to come and take a look, take a book, or just drop one off as a donation!
Maddux and Nick Ardito are working to expand the program in the area and have meetings scheduled with local authorities about building codes and possible locations for future Little Free Libraries.
