Man Dies After Swimming In St. Croix River

The man was on a family outing when he went missing Saturday. A dive team found the man in about 8 feet of water.

WASHINGTON COUNTY, MN — A man died after going swimming in the St. Croix River Saturday. Chandramohan Laghuvaram, 46, was on a family outing when he went missing.

The Washington County Sheriff's Office was called just after 4 p.m. A dive team found him in about 8 feet of water.

They brought Laghuvaram to shore but were unable to revive him, according to a news release.

The Ramsey County Medical Examiner and the Washington County Sheriff's Office are investigating the cause of death.
