On Tuesday, 16 celebrities from the U.S. and Europe teed off in a head-to-head tournament before the official cup begins.
Among the highlights for fans was seeing Olympic swimmer Michael Phelps, a gold medalist and the most decorated athlete in Olympic history, walk up to the tee box.

As fans cheered, Phelps prepared for his first tee shot the exact way he prepared for his Olympic swimming competitions. The crowd roared as he slapped his lanky arms against his back:
