MnDOT Hosts Open House for Highway 5 Improvement Project in Lake Elmo

Included in the project is a micro-surfacing of Trunk Highway 5, as well as re-striping to include a center left-hand turn lane, as well as a new pedestrian crossing with a refuge island near Lake Elmo Elementary School.

The Minnesota Department of Transportation is hosting an open house for the Highway 5 Improvement Project Wednesday, Aug. 21, from 4-6 p.m., at Lake Elmo Elementary School.

Representatives from MnDOT will be in attendance to answer questions about the project and present exhibits about the project.

The project purpose is to reconfigure the drive and turn lanes in order to promote more safe and efficient travel in the downtown area of Lake Elmo.
