National Crime Victims' Rights Week is April 21-27

The Minnesota Alliance on Crime and its partners are sponsoring events in the Twin CIties during National Crime Victims' Rights Week.

April 21-27 is recognized as National Crime Victims’ Rights Week.

The Minnesota Alliance on Crime and its partners have received a National Crime Victims’ Rights week grant and are sponsoring events in the Twin Cities.

All events are free and open to the public, with make and take art activities for kids, information about services to crime victims and on crime prevention, giveaways, and more.

Artwork submitted by children depicting ideas about crime prevention and a world without crime will be displayed at all events.

Citizen groups and community organizations wishing to schedule a Crime Prevention presentation can contact the Washington County Attorney’s Office at 651-430-6115. 

Twin Cities Events

  • April 25: 6-8:30 p.m. Barnes & Noble, HarMar Mall in Roseville
  • April 27: noon-8 p.m. St. Paul Art Crawl, MN Arts Board building

On April 25 from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., learn how pets can assist crime victims as therapy animals.

Information will be provided to both professionals considering utilizing therapy animals in the criminal justice system and to members of the public who are interested in learning how pets can assist maltreated children as therapy animals.
