New Luxury Apartments Planned For Stillwater

A Stillwater landmark could soon be the site of apartments and a craft distillery.

STILLWATER, MN — The historic National Guard Armory building in Stillwater could soon be the site of new luxury apartments, craft distillery, and underground parking. The 1922 building — which no longer houses the Army — was purchased for $605,000 this year by a local investment firm.

The developers plan to preserve the historic building's exposed brick, hardwood floors and arches, reports the Pioneer Press.

Matthew Wolf, president of CVII Holdings, told the newspaper the plans call for turning half of the building into parking "to avoid the building being demolished, which is realistically our only other option."
