Oak Park Heights Will Contribute to Stillwater's Fourth of July Fireworks Display

The city of Oak Park Heights will once again help fund the fireworks display for Stillwater’s Fourth of July celebration.

The City council voted 4-0 to approve a contribution from city coffers to help the city of Stillwater offset the cost of fireworks.

Council Member Chuck Dougherty abstained from the conversation and vote. He owns the Water Street Inn.

Stillwater City Administrator Larry Hansen has said the city is looking into using slightly larger shells this year for an even larger display of fireworks.
