'Please Be Sober' When Applying For Gun Permit: Sheriff

CHISAGO COUNTY, MN — The Chisago County Sheriff's Office is letting residents know that if they'd like to apply for a permit to carry a handgun in Minnesota, they should visit their office. However, when you arrive to file your paperwork, "please be sober."

"Our front office staff know a LOT of cops," the Sheriff's Office noted on Facebook.

"If you drive here intoxicated they know who to tell. We have no shame conducting Field Sobriety Testing in our main lobby. Yes, this actually happened yesterday. The positive... We didn't need to drive to jail, we walked."
