Police, Firefighters Called to Two Dumpster Fires on Abercrombie Lane, Arson Suspected

A witness told Stillwater police he was out for a jog at about 9:30 p.m. on May 15 when he saw smoke and flames coming from a Dumpster in the 3600 block of Abercrombie Lane. The witness said he saw three teens running away from the blaze.

Stillwater Police responded to two reports of possible arson last week after industrial-sized dumpsters were set on fire in the area of Abercrombie Lane.

Firefighters responded and extinguished the blaze.

A witness told police he was out for a jog at about 9:30 p.m. on May 15 when he saw smoke and flames coming from a Dumpster in the 3600 block of Abercrombie Lane. The witness said he saw three teens running away from the blaze.

The witness described the people he saw running from the fire as “tall and skinny” teens, and told police they were all wearing baseball hats.

The following day, police were called at about 10:30 p.m. to a report of a Dumpster fire in the 3700 block of Abercrombie Lane.

According to police, there are no known suspects at this time.
