Report: Costco Picks Woodbury Site

Costco is set to purchase a site near Tamarack Road in Interstate 494, according to a post Wednesday from the Minneapolis-St. Paul Business Journal.

Citing sources, the newspaper says Costco plans to buy the 60-acre site and build a store on half of it.

There has been plenty of interest in Woodbury regarding a Costco, which was part of previous plans for the State Farm campus, now under contract with a new owner.

The Woodbury City Council last Wednesday examined a traffic study for the area, and city officials told Patch there was no pending development there that could be discussed at the time.
