St. Croix Prep Among Top Public Schools In MN For 2021

STILLWATER, MN — St. Croix Preparatory Academy's Upper School is among the best public high schools in Minnesota, according to a new ranking for 2021.

Niche, a school search and data platform, released its 2021 Best Schools rankings Friday. The new rankings feature 94,710 public schools, 24,099 private schools and 11,822 school districts nationwide, including schools in Minnesota.

Niche's 2021 rankings combine user input — including comments from students, alumni, and parents — with quantitative data. Other factors include teachers, resources, facilities, extracurricular activity opportunities, and diversity.

St. Croix Preparatory Academy is a charter school with 357 students in grades 9-12. It has a student-teacher ratio of 14 to 1. Minnesota state test scores show 87 percent of students are at least proficient in math and 92 percent in reading.
