Stillwater Lift Bridge to Remain in Down Position until Noon on May 21
The lift span will remain in the down position between 8 a.m. and noon on Tuesday, May 21 and will not affect motor vehicle traffic on the Stillwater Lift Bridge. Boaters may experience delays while crews replace a gearbox inside the bridge.

Boaters and other water traffic on the St. Croix River may experience delays next week as crews complete the scheduled replacement of a gearbox inside the Stillwater Lift Bridge.
The lift span will remain in the down position between 8 a.m. and noon on Tuesday, May 21, according to MnDOT. The work will not affect motor vehicle traffic on the bridge.

Replacement of the gearbox is the final step of the 2012 Stillwater Lift Bridge rehabilitation project, which included steel connection repair, concrete surface repair and the repair of various other mechanical and electrical components.
