Stillwater Schools Approve New Assistant Superintendent

Dr. Jennifer Cherry ​will start in her new role Aug. 3.

STILLWATER, MN — The board of Stillwater Area Public Schools has approved a new assistant superintendent. Dr. Jennifer Cherry will start in her new role Aug. 3.

"We are thrilled to have Dr. Cherry join our leadership team to help guide our school district," said interim superintendent Malinda Lansfeldt in a news release. "She has a wealth of experience as an educational leader and a strong commitment to ensuring each and every student succeeds."

Cherry will oversee technology and innovation, curriculum and staff development, and student support services. Previously, she oversaw educational programs for Edina Public Schools, Anoka-Ramsey Community College, Hennepin Technical College, and the University of Minnesota.

He most recent job was Director of Student Services for the Anoka-Hennepin School District. Cherry holds a B.S. in Business Administration from Metropolitan State University, a M.Ed. in Business and Industry Education, and a Ph.D. in Education.

"I am excited to roll my sleeves up and get to work," Cherry stated.
