StillwaterEats!: Quickfire Pizza Granted Permit to Build Outdoor Patio

As soon as the permits are secured, Quickfire Pizza will begin construction of a 28-seat patio at the backside of the downtown restaurant.

The Stillwater City Council on Tuesday approved a special-use permit allowing Quickfire Pizza to construct a patio at the rear of the downtown restaurant.

The council on a 4-0—Mayor Ken Harycki was absent—approved the request, allowing for a 28-seat patio to be built with access from a rear door in the establishment.

The 594 square-foot patio will consist of stamped concrete and two pergolas with ceiling fans, lighting and an ambient sound system, a lattice to screen the east wall and a cedar gate to enclose the seating area from a private parking lot. The space is currently a graveled storage area.

Quickfire Pizza’s new patio will be open from 10 a.m.-10 p.m., seven days a week from April 1 through Nov. 1.

“It’s a family restaurant, not a bar or a nightclub,” Paul Larson, co-owner of Quickfire Pizza told the council. “We’re just trying to capitalize on the few nice we have each year.”

As far as the neighbors go, Larson said some of them work at the restaurant and others are good customers, so it’s in our best interest to make them happy.”

As soon as the building permits are secured, Larson said construction on the patio will begin.
