4th Of July Fireworks 2021 Canceled In Stillwater

Stillwater's fireworks may have been canceled, but there are other events and celebrations going on in town on July 4.

STILLWATER, MN — Although coronavirus cases continue to drop across the country while the number of those who are fully vaccinated continues to rise, many Independence Day celebrations have once again been canceled, modified or will be held virtually due to the pandemic.

Stillwater's fireworks may have been canceled, but there are other events and celebrations going on in town on July 4.

"COVID-19 supply chain disruptions have slowed the availability of fireworks and they won't be here till late July," the city said in a statement. "Consequently, there will be no fireworks on the 4th."

However, there will be other free entertainment options, including Civil War cannons and music in the park on July 4.

A fireworks show will be held at the Lift and Loop Bridge Celebration on Aug. 14.

Civil War Cannons from Battery I, 1st US Artillery

  • Where: Mulberry Point in Lowell Park
  • When: 3 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Junk FM (band)

  • Where: Amphitheater Stage in Lowell Park
  • When: 5:30 pm – 7 pm

Bootleg, a band that plays rock and roll music

  • Where: Amphitheater Stage in Lowell Park
  • When: 8 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.

St. Croix Jazz Orchestra

  • Where: Pioneer Park Bandshell
  • When: 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
