Stillwater's Popular Caribbean Resturant Set To Close Saturday

Stillwater's popular pirate-themed restaurant is set to close this weekend. Smalley’s Caribbean Barbequr, a pillar in the city's restaurant community for 10 years, will close for good Saturday night. At the end of their lease, the owners decided it was the right time to call it quits.
“It was reported that we were forced out,” co-owner Tim McKee told the Pioneer Press. “We weren’t. It really, really sucks for us and our staff to close down the restaurant, but financially, it wasn’t headed in the right direction.”
In 2012, Smalley’s was featured on an episode of the Food Network's Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives. Host Guy Feiri sampled the restaurant's "666 Wings," served with a side of "Death Juice."
