Storm Damage in Four MN Counties Totals $2.6 Million
Aitkin, Carlton, Crow Wing and Pine County are requesting disaster assistance from the state.

Severe storms in Minnesota last month lead to significant damage in four counties, totalling about $2.6 million.
Aitkin, Carlton, Crow Wing and Pine County are now requesting disaster assistance from the state.
According to a news release from the Minnesota Department of Public Safety, local emergency managers reported the following estimates in their initial damage assessments:

- $300,000 in Aitkin County
- $798,000 in Carlton County
- $389,550 in Crow Wing County
- $1,138,000 in Pine County
At this time, the damages do not meet federal requirements for FEMA’s Public
Assistance Program, but they could qualify for funds through the Minnesota
State Disaster Assistance Program.
