Winter, Hazardous Weather Advisories Issued For Twin Cities
Up to 5 inches of accumulating snow could hit the region Friday night.

TWIN CITIES, MN — A winter weather advisory has been issued for parts of southern and central Minnesota Friday, including Dakota County. The mid-November snowstorm will likely impact the evening commute.
Up to five inches of snow could fall in southern Minnesota.
Snow will develop over west central Minnesota late this afternoon and expand south and east across central and southern Minnesota tonight, according to the National Weather Service.

Other parts of the metro
The snowstorm will hit the south metro the hardest, but the north, west, and east metro could also see up to 2 inches as well.
NWS has issued a hazardous weather outlook for counties including Hennepin, Anoka, Ramsey, and Washington.

Brisk northerly winds will also accompany the snow, which will likely result in reduced visibilities and areas of blowing snow.

"If you can leave a bit early, it wouldn't be a bad idea," says the NWS.

Today: Snow likely, mainly after 5 p.m. Cloudy, with a high near 33. Northwest wind 5 to 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60 percent. Total daytime snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.
Tonight: Snow, mainly before 4 a.m., then scattered flurries after 5am. Low around 19. North wind 5 to 15 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100 percent. New snow accumulation of 2 to 4 inches possible.
Saturday: Scattered flurries before 9am. Partly sunny, then gradually becoming sunny, with a high near 23. North wind 5 to 10 mph.
Saturday Night: Clear, with a low around 10. West northwest wind around 5 mph becoming southwest after midnight.
Sunday: Sunny, with a high near 28. West southwest wind 5 to 10 mph.
Sunday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 14. West wind around 5 mph becoming calm in the evening.
Monday: Mostly cloudy, with a high near 26. Southeast wind around 5 mph becoming northeast in the afternoon.
Monday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 14. North northeast wind around 5 mph.
Tuesday: Partly sunny, with a high near 28. North northeast wind around 5 mph becoming south southwest in the afternoon.
