City Introduces New Parking Notice Fliers
The St. Louis Park Fire Department wants residents to park only on the odd side of streets to help emergency crews get through.
If you see a piece of paper with a red stripe on it under your car's wiper blade, it might not be a ticket. But it still could be very important.
The city of St. Louis Park will soon be putting fliers on cars that don't abide by the new voluntary , implemented last week in an effort to help emergency crews better navigate city streets that are particularly narrow because of snow.
While the fliers might bear a striking resemblance to parking tickets, at this point there are no fines for parking on the even side of city streets. However, the city could go the mandatory route if conditions don't improve. St. Louis Park's automatic parking ban, which goes into effect anytime snowfall hits three inches, is not impacted by the new policy.
