Cold Weather Causes Garbage, Recycling Delays in St. Louis Park
Garbage and recycling service will be suspended Monday and collection delayed one day all week.

St. Louis Park's new garbage and recycling trucks have malfunctioned in the cold weather, causing service delays in some parts of St. Louis Park. Garbage and recycling service will be suspended Monday and collection delayed one day all week.
The trucks, which operate on compressed natural gas, came to the city as part of its five-year contract with Waste Management, a Twin Cities disposal firm.
"The city is confident that Waste Management will resolve the current issues with the vehicles and remains committed to the environmental benefits of the CNG fleet," St. Louis Park wrote in a statement Friday.
