TWIN CITIES, MN — Sports talk station KFAN is expanding its footprint in the Twin Cities. Regular listeners of 96.7 Pride Radio, serving as "the pulse the Twin Cities LGBT community," tuned in Monday only learn it had been replaced by "KFAN Plus."

The new sports station promises to broadcast "some of the biggest and well-known national names in sports radio" including Dan Patrick, Colin Cowherd, and Clay Travis.

"What happened to pride radio?" said another.

iHeart Media owns both KFAN and Pride Radio.

In a statement to City Pages, iHeart said that sports fans here "are very passionate and loyal, and we believe KFAN Plus will resonate well with our listeners. Listeners can continue to enjoy Pride Radio programming anywhere they are on Pride Radio KDWB-HD2 or iheartradio.com."

KFAN's regular programming on FM 100.3 will continue.
