A cheer for all volunteers!!

Having spent many years working for non-profits, I recognize the value of those who choose to volunteer. Without these unselfish and giving individuals, many an agency or organization would not be able to do the work they do and provide services, help and information to tens of thousands of New Hampshire residents.

Each day I meet some of these great people who feel a calling and share of their time and talents for the betterment of others.

Right here in Concord there is an agency that helps organizations to strengthen their volunteer base. It's called Volunteer NH and here's a link to their website where you can find out about the great work they are doing and how they may be able to help you:

Volunteer NH also recognizes and honors those who volunteer including the their presenting the Spirit of NH Awards which recognize the spirit of volunteerism.  In May they will be holding their Governor's Conference on Volunteerism. Information will be available on their website.

Charles Caldwell their Administrative and Outreach Officer was my guest recently on WKXL's "Downtown Dialogues." We talked about the work of Volunteer NH and I would encourage everyone to click on the link below and listen in. It may inspire those who have only considered doing volunteer work to take the plunge.
